Do Now

Everyday we keep repeating our activities of our biological life cycle. Some activities are well defined in our POA(Plan of Action) and some or not. Amidst of oft activities we try to find a lame reason to procrastinate some of them which are actually planned.

I was the victim of procrastinate-syndrome, I reached my 5.5/5.5 cubicle with full zeal of busting enery. I knew very little before booting the box on my desk that i am gonna get booted after its. I was awestuck on the aftermath affect of mail-box opening, yeah i saw an infamous Windows Error with a message tag conveying my .pst file was corrupt and would you like to report the error to Microsoft. Inference of this event was that my mail box had conked up.
Now I had to spend my rest half of the day in getting the information back from the corrupted file. I felt the real worth of the saying 'A stitch in time saves nine' in my mind ... I have to blame myself for procrastination of taking the backup of my information.

Albiet I got the information back...lost some of the vital information and most importantly I had to compromise in losing my time at work.

This incident evoked the urge for 'Do Now' in me... we find short of time for ToDo things in our life... we tag ourselves as 'Busy' and due to this we keep procrastinating until the activities piles up to nth state. I felt Procrastination is not only the thief of time, it is the creator of subtle inner tension too.

But sometimes its inevitable that we need to procrastinate... I am not saying we shouldnt...even in that state. I feel we shouldnt wait till we feel like doing it - the feeling will come only when we start doing it. Also prioritising the list should have helped if at all we feel we are overloaded. Finally, creating a vision of the result and be motivated by the vision of the outcome, not the thought of the process.

If there is anything we can learn from the process then see it is action learning and keep in track of POA's so that there is no schedule variance :p. These are some of the ideas and the need I felt we can avoid procrastination, but you may have other ideas.

On looking at the brightest side of today's morning event I felt it gave me an opportunity to think abt the pros and cons of Procrastination... may be this is wat we call as 'Time-Impart'. Now lemme get back to implementation/preparation/updation of POA... ;-)

When Heart Speaks...

Main aur meri tanhaai aksar yeh baatein karte hain
Tum hoti to kaisa hota, tum yeh kehti, tum voh kehti
Tum is baat pe hairaan hoti, tum us baat pe kitni hansti
Tum hoti to aisa hota, tum hoti to vaisa hota
Main aur meri tanhaai aksar yeh baatein karte hain

Yeh raat hain, yeh tumhaari zulfein khuli hui hain
Magar yeh dil hai ke keh raha hain
Key tum yahin ho, yahin kahin ho

Nothing else to say :D,

Happy Independence Day...

" Mitti Ki Hai Jo Khushboo, Tu Kaise Bhulayega
Tu Chahe Kahin JaYeh, Tu Laut Ke Aayega
Nayee-Nayee Rahon Mein, Dabi-Dabi Aahon Mein
Khoyeh-Khoyeh Dil Se Tere Koi yeh Kahega
Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera, Swades Hai Tera
Tujhe Hai Pukara....Yeh Woh Bandhan Hai Jo Kabhi Toot Nahin Sakta"

One of my favourite songs in recent past... Nostalgia is personified in this song... especially the lyrics... its mild... posessess a soothing touch... From the day I have stepped out of India whenever i hear this song i feel like going back to home land...

Happy Independence Day... :-)
Vande Maataram...

Colors of Life: Wisdom...

Each day is filled with a hundred choices and decisions, my life ahead will depend on the choice I make right now...isnt it? The life today at this moment is the reaction of the action taken sometime back.

I am sole responsible for all my actions and the reactions that counter from the action. When something bad happens then start blaming on other entities, seldom doesn’t think about the root cap for the cause. I use to think how one can make a right choice at a give time.

I felt Wisdom is our best guide. Wisdom can take us in making right choice. Once chosen make it immutable, but how can Wisdom chose the right decision how I can possess the wisdom. My mind was wandering with this… then I thought Wisdom comes from the repository called as experience, yes something which I had followed for the same kind of instance and the illation of that action was fruitful… Experience comes from engaging with life… now this cannot be always… does that mean u gain wisdom only with experience?

No wisdom also comes from learning and learning comes from observing… each day comes it imparts a new lesson to our existence… so we are always learning and learning is an eternal process (read somewhere)… as I learn…I gain wisdom. And of course my deepest intuition… can our intuition also be termed as a source for wisdom? May be sometimes I do act based on my intuition and its spontaneous… how do u cultivate intuition… may be I should listen to myself always…So at the end of day Wisdom is required to act in a proper way.

Each day is an opportunity to gather and use all these… inculcate what did I learn and what did I hear… from myself? I did listen to myself… didn’t I?

Colors of Life: Cultivate Silence

Silence means not thinking anything... I am not saying to stop thinking... if that happens then we have attained the mortality state...:D, yes its a kind of riddle our mind cannot be in a state of non-thinking... Thinking of not to think is also a kind of Thinking. But only difference in this case is we solely concentrate on keeping our mind silent state. Behind all creation is silence. Silence is the essential condition, the vital ingredient for all creation and all that is created. It is a power in its own right. The artist starts with a blank canvas - silence. The composer places it between and behind the notes. The very ground of our being, out of which comes all our thoughts, is silence. The way to silence is through meditation I feel. When you arrive in your own silence you will know true freedom and real power you possess... just take a minute and listen to the silence within us... Then we will be aware of what disturbs our inner silence. Yes now disturbances can be many things, it could be negative thoughts, memories, sensations... and when we are aware, we will know what is draining our creative power and also we will know what needs to change...on the inside! On the contrary sometimes the negative thoughts can also lead to positivity but with respect to the context of keeping our mind in silence its existence is irrelevant. But at the same time one should not try hard to seize the negative thoughts when mind is in the silent state. But not to react to the negative thoughts that come thatz the key... thatz how our mind will get free...

But this doesnt mean be silent to the external world... you will be in isolation if we do so... I feel a person should practise silence everyday at least for 5 minutes... your soul would greatly rejoice those moments. Yeah you will also be aware of your innate strength, and stopping the ripples which causes disturbance is another challenge....going by the phrase 'Practice makes man Perfect'...we need to cultivate....woaa it’s a great experience...
